No Injuries Reported In Single-Vehicle Rollover Crashes
(Spencer)-- No injuries were reported, but there was a considerable amount of property damage in two single-vehicle rollover crashes in Clay county.
The first took place around 8:30 am Thursday. The Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Juan Rivera-Duran of Hartley lost control of a 2004 Pontiac van while traveling southbound in the 3000 mile of County Road M-27. The vehicle went into the west ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its wheels. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000. Rivera-Duran was cited for failure to maintain control.
The other took place around 9:30 this (Fri.) morning. Authorities say 53-year-old Angela Johnson of Aurelia lost control of a 1995 Jeep Wrangler as she was attempting to slow down in the 4100 mile of County Road M-27. The vehicle went into the east ditch and rolled, coming to rest on the driver's side. The vehicle was totaled.
