Nature Tots Program At Dickinson Co. Nature Center About To Kick Off Another Year
(Okoboji)-- A popular program for area children is about to kick off for another year.
Bryana Kuhlman, Environmental Education Coordinator at the Dickinson County Nature Center says the Nature Tots program will begin its run for 2020 on January 8th with nature based-themes each month...
"January 8th our first theme is going to be if Pluto was a pea and it's going to be talking about Pluto being the size of a pea and then taking other objects that are relatable for our young learners and talking about how they potentially are the size of a pumpkin or the size of a ball or things of that nature."
Kuhlman says the Nature Tots program is offered free of charge and is intended for children ages 2 to 5. She says it's held on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm...
"All we ask is that you call the Dickinson County Nature Center and register so that we know how many folks are coming so if we're doing a craft or an activity we have numbers to make sure everyone has what they need."
Kuhlman says they'll be adding an additional Nature Tots program at 9:00 am from June through August.
She says this is the 7th or 8th year the program has been offered at the Dickinson County Nature Center.
