MnDOT Wraps Up Construction Season
(Mankato, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Transportation has wrapped up its 2017 construction season. Officials say the $1.1 billion program included 211 road and bridge projects statewide. 57 other project helped improve safety at railroad crossings along with improvements on runways and terminals at regional airports.
Among the projects completed in southern Minnesota was the reconstruction of about 1.6 miles of Highway 4 in the St. James area including two new mini-roundabouts. That project is slated for completion in early 2019.
It also included pavement and bridge repairs at several locations along Interstate 90, along with improvements to lighting systems and upgrades that were made to a weigh station near Worthington.
