MnDOT To Hold Virtual Open House On Proposed Project Planned For Highway 86 In Lakefield
(Lakefield, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be holding a virtual open house later this month to inform the public of a proposed project on Highway 86 in Lakefield. The virtual open house is scheduled for 5:00 pm Wednesday, June 24th online. The public will be able to view it live or dial in by phone. Those viewing the live presentation will be able to ask questions and share comments through audio or by live chat.
The project is tentatively scheduled for 2022 and will include reconstruction of pavement, curb and gutter, and will include access modifications along with accommodations for the Americans with Disabilities Act. It's being done in conjunction with the city of Lakefield which received funding from the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority and USDA-Rural Development to upgrade wastewater and water systems throughout the city.
The public will be able to access the virtual open house from a computer, tablet or smartphone at global.gotomeeting.com/join/213166461 or by phone at 872-240-3212 with access code of 213-166-461. The city of Lakefield will also be livestreaming the event at City Hall. Those planning to do that, however, should contact Kelly Rasche, City Clerk, at 507-662-5457 as limited spots will be available due to social distancing.
A recording of the session will also be available on the project website, mndot.gov/d7/projects/hwy86lakefield.
