Minnesota Reporting 571 New Positive Cases Of COVID-19
(St. Paul, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Health reported 571 new positive cases yesterday, bringing the state’s total to 7,234. Nobles County has topped 1,000 cases following an increase of 71 new cases yesterday, bringing their total to 1,011. Jackson County is up 6 to 24 positive cases, Martin County is at 108 and Cottonwood County increased 9 to 37.
9 new deaths were reported yesterday bringing the total to 428, of which 345 are among residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities. There are only 6 counties in Minnesota that have not reported a positive case.
Over 3,200 tests were completed yesterday, bringing the state’s total to just under 86,000. Total requiring hospitalization is now at 1,271, with 396 of those still in the hospital. The number in ICU increased by 11 to 166. 4,212 patients in Minnesota no longer need to be isolated.
