Minnesota Health Department Reporting 617 New Positive Cases Of COVID-19 With 27 Additional Deaths
(St. Paul, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Health reported a new single day high of 617 new positive cases yesterday, bringing the state’s total to 7,851. Nobles County saw an increase of 58 new cases, bringing their total to 1,069. Jackson County is up 1 to 25 positive cases, Martin County is up 2 to 110 and Cottonwood County increased 4 to 41.
27 new deaths were reported bringing the total to 455, of which 368 are among residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities. There are only 5 counties in Minnesota that have not reported a positive case.
Over 1,800 tests were completed Monday, bringing the state’s total to just over 88,000. Total requiring hospitalization is now at 1,350, with 424 of those still in the hospital. The number in ICU increased by 16 to 182 the fourth day in a row to see an increase. 4,614 patients in Minnesota no longer need to be isolated.
