Minnesota Dept. Of Health Reporting Largest Number Of COVID-19 Cases So Far On A Given Day
(St. Paul, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Health reported a new single day high of 728 new positive cases yesterday, bringing the state’s total to 8,579. Nobles County saw an increase of 13 new cases yesterday, bringing their total to 1,082. Jackson County held at 25 positive cases, Martin County is up 1 to 111 and Cottonwood County increased 1 to 42.
30 new deaths were reported yesterday, a new single day high, bringing the total to 485, of which 391 are among residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities. There are only 5 counties in Minnesota that have not reported a positive case.
Over 1,800 tests were completed yesterday, bringing the state’s total to just over 93,000. Total requiring hospitalization is now at 1,405, with 443 of those still in the hospital. After a four day increase, the number in ICU decreased by 2 to 180. 5,005 patients in Minnesota no longer need to be isolated.
