Minnesota COVID Testing Approaches 10,000 Per Day
(St. Paul)-- Minnesota is getting closer to the 10,000 tests per day threshold projected by Governor Walz and his health officials. Wednesday marked the highest testing day so far in the state with over 9,200 tests completed. That brings the state’s total to over 275,000 completed tests.
Officials reported 404 new positive COVID-19 cases this morning, bringing the state’s total to over 26,000. Jackson County is up 2 to 42, Cottonwood County increased 2 to 79, Martin County held at 132 and Nobles County increased 4 to 1,562.
29 new deaths reported this morning, bringing the state’s total to 1,115, of which 896 are among residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
The number of Minnesotans in the hospital dropped by 25 to 512. Those in ICU dropped 10 to 244.
