Milford's Pioneer Theatre Reopens

(Milford)-- The screen has come back to life at the Pioneer Theatre in downtown Milford. The theatre reopened about a week ago.

The theatre was closed after film distributors switched to a digital format. The owner of the Pioneer Theatre, Rob Meyer (may-er) tells KUOO news the high cost of digital projectors at that time made it not feasible to stay open. He says things have since changed, though...Pioneer Reopens01

Now showing at the Pioneer is The Jungle Book. It's being featured as a late afternoon-early evening matinee. Independence Day, Resurgence is also now showing at 7:30 and 9:45 pm.
