Milford City Council Awards Bid On Phase 3 Of "H" Avenue Project
(Milford)-- The next phase of a major street project in Milford has the green light to proceed. The city council Monday evening awarded a bid on the 3rd phase of the “H” Avenue project to Holstein Excavating of Edgerton, Minnesota which submitted the low bid of $1,418,367 for the project. The bid was below the engineer's estimate of a little more than $1.5 million.
This particular phase for that portion of “H” Avenue from 10th Street to 13th Street. The project has a completion date of this coming November 1st.
In other business, the council took no action on a resolution setting compensation for the City Administrator, instead they voted four to one to refer the matter to the city's Personnel Committee. Councilman Bill Huse cast the dissenting vote.
The council directed city staff to look into patching portions of roads in the South Shore area that have broken up pavement; and they approved a revision in hours for city offices, which effective April 29th will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm.
