Milford City Council Approves 6 Percent Increase In Sewer Rates
(Milford)-- Milford residents will soon be paying more for sewer service.
The city council this (Monday) evening voted unanimously to approve a six percent increase in sewer rates.
City Administrator LeAnn Reinsbach said it will amount to roughly another 50 cents per 1,000 gallons per month. She estimated the typical household uses about 3,000 gallons per month.
The council approved the first reading of an ordinance spelling out the increase and voted to waive the second and third readings and gave final approval to the increase.
The action followed a public hearing that drew no written or verbal responses.
