Milford Airport Awarded State Funding For Runway Overlay Project
(Ames)-- The Iowa Department of Transportation Commission today (Mon.) awarded funding for various projects at several airports in the region.
The Milford Municipal Airport was awarded a little more than $230,000 for a runway overlay. The project has a total cost of slightly more than $285,000.
The Sibley Municipal Airport will receive $150,000 to construct a new hangar at a total cost of a little more than $233,000.
A three-stall hangar project at the Algona Municipal Airport was awarded $150,000, along with nearly an additional $49,000 for paving. The project has a total cost of about $425,000.
The money comes from the state's Airport Improvement Program and Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund.
