Man Sentenced For Allegedly Striking Another Man With Exhaust Pipe
(Primghar)-- A 21-year-old Primghar man... arrested last November after he allegedly struck another man in the head with an exhaust pipe... has been sentenced.
The O'Brien County sheriff's Office charged Jesse Christopherson of Primghar with first-degree burglary, a class “B “felony, and assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. He pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Christopherson allegedly entered a home in the 200 block of West Third Street in Primghar on November ninth with a muffler and exhaust pipe. He's accused of striking the male victim in the head with the exhaust pipe and created a gash on his forehead. The victim also displayed concussion-like symptoms and several bruises on his body.
Christopherson received a suspended 364-day jail sentence and was placed on probation for one year. He was ordered to pay 695-dollars in court costs, with a 625-dollar fine suspended.
