(Spencer)-- A Peterson man escaped injury in a single vehicle crash Tuesday in Clay county.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Derrick Mohror was driving a 2005 Jeep Wrangler in the 3400 mile of 240th Avenue. Authorities say Mohror was crossing an ice-covered bridge when he lost control of the vehicle. It slid sideways and landed on its side. It then crossed the northbound lane and came to rest on the passenger side.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

The crash took place shortly after 7:00 am.

Mohror was cited for driving while revoked and failure to maintain control.
