Man Arrested On Weapons, Other Charges

(Spencer)-- The Clay County Sheriff's Office has released details into an incident back on May 2nd in Fostoria that resulted in the arrest of a man on weapons and other charges.

Authorities say deputies were called shortly before 2:00 am that morning to 217 Southwest 1st Avenue in Fostoria regarding a man with a gun that was banging on a window at that residence. Authorities say the suspect, 44-year-old James Snider of Royal, had left the residence when they arrived. They had a description of the vehicle he was driving, which was pulled over a short time later by Spencer police.

Police say they found two pistols in the vehicle and that one of them was uncased and loaded.

Snider was arrested and booked into jail on charges of carrying weapons, trespassing and harassment.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office and the Spencer Police Department.
