Man Accused Of Using Stun Gun In Domestic Assault Sentenced
(Spencer)-- A Gillette Grove man arrested last June after Clay county authorities investigated a domestic assault has been sentenced.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office charged 29-year-old Johnathon Koenig with domestic abuse assault, display or use of a dangerous weapon. Authorities say the victim was physically assaulted several times within a week or so, and that a stun gun had allegedly been used in one of the incidents.
Koenig pleaded guilty to domestic assault causing injury, a serious misdemeanor. He was sentenced to one year in jail and to pay $2,600 in fines, surcharges and court costs.
