Ken Snyder Elected To Fill Vacancy On Ward 2 Seat Of Sheldon City Council

Wed 6-9-2021

(Sheldon)-- Voters in Sheldon's 2nd ward Tuesday elected Ken Snyder to fill that vacant position on the City Council.

Unofficial results show Snyder receiving 89 votes while the other candidates, Sandra Johnson received 23 votes and Madeline Kopel eight votes.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of councilman Shawn Broesder. Snyder will serve the remainder of Broesder's term, which expires at the end of the year. The seat will be up for election in November for a full term.

Only those living in Sheldon's second ward were eligible to vote in Tuesday's election.
