Keelson Harbour will host a program on Compassion Fatigue on Friday, April 5.
Outreach and Sales Director Michelle Schwartz-Webb says, part of the program will focus on how to identify compassion fatigue. "It's an opportunity to learn signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue. You can consider evaluating yourself for maybe chronic, physical or emotional exhaustion, test your level of irritability, are you having difficulty sleeping, weight loss, headaches or poor job satisfaction, and come learn how compassion fatigue can take a physical, mental, spiritual and even emotional toll."
She adds that some tools will be offered to help reduce fatigue. "One of the elements that you will learn in this class is how to reduce those stressful workloads, monitoring your sleep patterns and taking regular vacations."
The program is free and open to the public, starting at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at Keelson Harbour in Spirit Lake.
