Jackson County Central Breaks Ground For New Middle School

(Lakefield) Officials With the Jackson County Central School District today (Friday) broke ground for the new 84,000 square foot Pleasantview Middle School. The new building will feature new classrooms, technology learning spaces and science classrooms. The new school also adds a new gymnasium, band and choir areas and a kitchen and commons area. The Pleasantview middle school project is slated to be complete in the summer of 2022. This project also includes interior renovations to Pleasantview Elementary school including air quality upgrades as well as improvements to meet the Americans with Disabilites Act requirements. Catherine Deckkenga was the architect on the project from JLG and Kraus Anderson is handling the construction.
