ISU Extension Clay County To Hold Free Story Walk For Families
Mon 2-22-2021

(Spencer)-- ISU Extension of Clay County is inviting families with preschool and elementary children to participate in a family story walk on March 6th. Pre-12 educator Amy Forette explains...
"This is an opportunity for families to walk in a path with storied sections posted throughout the South Park Mall and this will be an opportunity for families to engage in literacy while learning about eggs and moving throughout the mall. There will be six different stations regarding chicks, eggs, and also agriculture."
She notes that safety guidelines will be in place...
"I think families are looking for a safe opportunity to do something and we will be following COVID guidelines. Masks are going to be required and social distancing will also be happening. So this is just a nice, safe event for families to come out and enjoy."
She adds that registration is not required...
"No registration. We are asking families to just come to the South Park Mall between 9:00 and 11:00 am on March 6th and come in the main entrance, that's where you will start, and then we will give you directions from there and then at the end of the walk families will get a goodie bag."
