Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association announces cancellation of Rock the Roof Concerts

The Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association announced on Tuesday the cancellation of the remaining Fall Rock the Roof Concert Series.

Association President Ralph Kluseman explains.  "After hearing the Governor's press conference, it was very obvious that we needed to make sure that we kept all of our patrons safe that would have attended our Rock the Roof events in November and December.  So, we made the decision to cancel those two events because we need to make sure that we take care of those folks that would have attended plus our staff and our volunteers and, of course, the people providing the entertainment.  So, all the way around we wanted to do the right thing."

He adds that the Association will be doing some online fundraising in December.  "We've scheduled an online auction that will really be kind of a cool foray into what we normally would have done during the Induction Weekend.  We're looking to pull together all kinds of interesting memorabilia that the online auction would make available.  Stay tuned to what we're doing by watching iowarocknroll.com, it will be published there, but it will also be published on our Instagram page and on our facebook page."

The Iowa Rock 'n Roll Museum will remain open will protocols in place Thursday through Saturday from 11-5.
