Iowa Lakes Community College Spring Commencement Ceremony May 10

The spring Commencement Ceremony for Iowa Lakes Community College will be held on Friday, May 10.

College Registrar Barb Grandstaff says, they expect a full house.  "We have over 160 students who have finished their degrees that will participate.  There are over 300 student that have applied to graduate, so a little over half of those will march and then we ask several of our students to be Commencement Speakers.  So, we have two students, Lincoln Larsen, who is receiving an Associate of Arts Degree, and we also have Gabriela Reis, who is from the Emmetsburg Campus who will speak.  She's one of our international students."

She notes that the public is welcome to attend, and adds that a webcast of the ceremony will be available.  "Anyone is welcome to attend, we have room for family, friends, visitors.  We also have a webcast.  If you go to our website there will be alerts on our web pages telling folks where they need to go to watch the webcast if they're unable to be there in person.  We also have our program out on the web pages."

The Commencement Ceremony is set to begin at 7 o'clock Friday evening in the gymnasium on the Estherville Campus.
