Iowa DPH Reporting Nearly 500 New Cases Of COVID-19 and Seven Additional Deaths
(Des Moines)-- The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting seven additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the state along with 493 new cases for the previous 24 hours ending at 10:00 am this (Fri.) morning. The total number of deaths from the virus in Iowa is now at 701. The total number of cases since the pandemic started has grown to 27,555. Of those, 17,140 have recovered.
Locally, the total number of cases in Dickinson county as of late this (Fri.) morning was at 234 with 102 recoveries; Clay county was at 113 with 73 recovered; Emmet was at 67 total cases with 33 recoveries; Palo Alto county 24 with 19 recoveries; O'Brien county with 79 total cases and 41 recoveries and Osceola county was at 49 cases with 45 recoveries.
In Minnesota, Jackson county was at 53 total cases so far; Nobles 1,643, Martin county at 151 and Cottonwood county was at 130. The state of Minnesota today (Fri.) is reporting five additional deaths and 498 additional cases of COVID-19. That state's death toll now stands at 1,411. The total number of cases since the pandemic started in Minnesota is now at 34,616.
