Iowa DPH Reporting An Additional 528 Positive Cases Of COVID-19 As Of Today (Sunday)
(Des Moines)-- The Iowa Department of Public Health today (Sunday) reported an additional 528 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state's total so far to 9,169 positive cases. The department is also reporting an additional 2,932 negative tests for a total of 44,017 negative tests to date. That includes testing by the State Hygienic Lab and other laboratories.
The DPH says 77 percent of the new cases reported today (Sunday) are from the 22 counties where restrictions remain in place.
An additional 9 deaths are also being reported today (Sunday).
The agency says 378 Iowans are currently hospitalized with the virus.
The latest deaths were reported in Black Hawk county (2 elderly adults); Bremer county (1 elderly adult); Dallas county (1 older adult); Dubuque county (1 older adult); Polk county (2 older adults) and Poweshiek county (2 elderly adults).
