Iowa DPH Reporting Additional 237 Cases Of COVID-19 & 14 More Deaths; Number Of Cases Continues To Grow In Several NW Iowa Counties, Including Dickinson
(Des Moines)-- The Iowa Department of Public Health today (Wed.) is reporting 14 more deaths from COVID-19, raising the state's death toll to 381. The agency is also reporting 237 more cases of the virus. Those figures were as of 10:00 am. It brings the state's total number of cases so far to 15,533.
Health officials say 381 people are hospitalized as of today (Wed.), compared to 383 Tuesday. 126 of those are in intensive care units.
In northwest Iowa, 85 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized with 35 in ICU's and 28 on ventilators.
Public health officials in northwest Iowa are reporting some additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of this (Wed.) morning.
One additional case is being reported in Dickinson county, bringing the county's total number of cases so far to eight. Emmet county has two more cases as of this (Wed.) morning for a total of six; Osceola county is reporting one more case for a total of 29; Buena Vista county reports two more cases for a total of 123 and Sioux county is reporting six more cases this (Wed.) morning bringing that county's total to 153.
