Iowa DPH Reporting 387 New Cases Of COVID-19 With 11 Additional Deaths; Dickinson County Now At 34 Cases So Far
(Des Moines)-- The Iowa Department of Public Health today (Fri.) is reporting an additional 387 new cases of COVID-19 with 11 additional deaths for the past 24 hours ending at 10:00 am.
Health officials say 23 COVID-19 patients were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours with a total of 299 hospitalized with the virus as of this (Fri.) morning. Of those, 102 are in intensive care units with 62 on ventilators.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 infections continue to rise in several counties, including Dickinson, which reported six additional cases Thursday bringing the county's total so far to 34. Emmet county reported three new cases for a total of 26 so far; Clay county was up three to 27; Osceola county reported one new case bringing its total to 35; O'Brien county also had one additional case for a total of 40; Cherokee county reported five new cases for a total of 41; Sioux county has 12 more cases reported Thursday for a total of 304; Lyon county was unchanged at 24 cases; and Buena Vista county reported 55 additional cases bringing that county's total to 1,028.
