Iowa DPH Reporting 304 Additional Cases Of COVID-19 Today (Mon.) With Four Additional Deaths
(Des Moines)-- The Iowa Department of Public Health today (Mon.) is reporting an additional 304 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases so far to 14,955. Four additional deaths were also reported. That brings the state's death toll to 355.
The department says 103,148 tests have been conducted so far in the state. 88,193 of those were negative. Of the total positive cases, 7,324 have recovered.
382 Iowans were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of today (Mon.) with 121 in intensive care units. Of those, 85 were on ventilators. In northwest Iowa, 81 patients were hospitalized as of today (Mon.), up five from Sunday. 32 were in intensive care units with 23 on ventilators.
Locally, Buena Vista county is reporting 11 more positive cases of COVID-19 today (Mon.) bringing their total to 113; Osceola county has one additional positive case for a total of 27; Plymouth county with two more positive cases for a total of 87; and Sioux county is reporting five more cases bringing its total to 140.
All other counties in our area of northwest Iowa were unchanged from Sunday. That includes Dickinson county with six total cases to date.
