Iowa Attorney General Files Lawsuit Against Contractor For Alleged Violation Of One-Call Law During A Project In Dickinson County
(Des Moines)-- Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller today (Tues.) filed seven lawsuits in five counties over alleged violations of the Iowa “One Call” law. One of those was filed in Dickinson County District Court. A Sioux Falls contractor is named as the defendant.
The suit alleges that on April 4th of last year the company hit and damaged a two-inch underground natural gas line while installing some drainage tile in Arnolds Park. The excavation allegedly took place several feet from a permanent natural gas pipeline marker.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and a court order barring the contractor from violating the One Call law.
