(Orange City)-- An investigation by the Sioux County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa Department of Human Services has resulted in the arrests of a man and a woman from Sheldon.

Sioux county authorities say the investigation started earlier in April when a D-H-S social worker reported they had information about a child who had possibly been the victim of an assault. Upon investigating, deputies discovered the alleged incident took place at a residence near Boyden and that the child had sustained injuries as a result.

27-year-old Jacob Guse and 28-year-old Natashia Dvorak both of Sheldon, were arrested Tuesday and charged with child endangerment.
