Investigation Into Stolen Checks Results In Arrests

(Emmetsburg)-- An investigation into a report of some checks stolen back last month from an Emmetsburg residence has resulted in some arrests. Emmetsburg police say the 12 stolen checks were used and forged at a Casey’s store in Emmetsburg.
As a result of an investigation, police issued arrest warrants for Elizabeth Ehrig and Triestan VanDyk, both of Emmetsburg. Ehrig was charged with nine counts of forgery; VanDyk was charged with three counts of forgery and one count of identity theft.
Ehrig was arrested on the charges last Tuesday, March 15th; Van Dyk was arrested the next day.
Van Dyk was also wanted on outstanding warrants from Sioux and O’Brien counties.
