Investigation Into Missing Money Results In Arrest Of Lakefield Woman

(Lakefield, Mn.)-- A Lakefield woman has been charged with burglary following a report of money going missing.

On July 15, a Lakefield resident reported that money had been going missing from her home the past couple of months and they suspected someone was entering their home while they were away and stealing money. The Lakefield Police installed a small surveillance camera in the home. Another incident of missing money occurred on July 27th. Video footage from the camera showed a woman entering the home and taking money that had been hidden. The woman was identified as 41 year-old Kimberly Adel Fisher of Lakefield. She was arrested on 2nd degree burglary and remains in custody pending bail.

The Lakefield police have also received a report of 3 engagement rings going missing from a home sometime over the past several months. That case remains under investigation.

Both incidents occurred in homes left unlocked by the residents while they were away.
