Investigation Into A Report Of An Out Of Control Person Lands Woman In Jail On Drug Charges

(Estherville)-- An investigation Tuesday afternoon into a report of an out of control person resulted in the arrest of an Estherville woman.

Estherville police say they were contacted by officials with the Iowa Department of Human Services regarding the incident shortly before 4:00 pm.

Upon making contact with the woman, identified as 36-year-old Ashly Mustard of Estherville, officers obtained permission to search her purse. Police also obtained and executed a search warrant on a vehicle Mustard had driven to the DHS office.

Mustard was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance...methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance...marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and driving under suspension.

Mustard was booked into the Emmet county jail and was being held without bond.
