ILCC Alumni Association Announces Ringsted Man Is 2018 Recipient Of Jim Hall Outstanding Alumni Award

(Estherville)-- The 2018 Jim Hall Outstanding Alumni Award was presented to Dan Jorgensen of Ringsted during the Iowa Lakes Community College Spring Commencement. He is a graduate of the Diesel Mechanics program at Iowa Lakes. 

Jorgenson has served as Ringsted’s Mayor for over 25 years. He is also the Volunteer Fire Chief and one of the community’s EMTs, which in his community is all-volunteer service.

Jorgenson has provided internship sponsorship for students from Iowa Lakes automotive and diesel programs mentoring and encouraging them as they pursue their careers. In the past, he has shared his time and talents on church councils and committees, on the local school booster committee, and assisted with community fundraising events.
