IDPH Asking Businesses & Organizations To Donate Any Personal Protective Equipment They May Have
(Des Moines)-- The Iowa Department of Public Health is urgently asking businesses and organizations to donate any extra personal protective equipment they may have to assist healthcare providers and healthcare facilities responding to COVID-19.
Ken Sharp, division director of Acute Disease Prevention, Emergency Response and Environmental Health, says stocks of personal protective equipment for healthcare providers are being used rapidly. He says all types of the equipment are needed, especially gloves, gowns, eye protection and masks.
Any business or organization who can donate such equipment should contact their local public health office or emergency manager.
