I-90 & Hwy 60 Collision Sends One Person To The Hospital

(Worthington, Mn.)-- A collision Saturday involving a pickup and a semi at the intersection of Highway 60 and Interstate 90 in Worthington sent one person to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 17-year-old Doria Drost of Rushmore was driving a 2005 Ford Ranger eastbound on I-90 when the vehicle spun out on the slick road. Troopers say 55-year-old Terry Bandy of Florence, Montana was driving a 2001 Peterbilt truck that was attempting to slow down, but wound up striking the front end of the pickup.

Drost was transported to Sanford Hospital in Worthington for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported to Bandy.

The pickup was totaled; moderate damage was reported to the semi.

The collision took place around 12:45 pm.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Worthington Police Department and the Nobles County Sheriff's Office.
