Hwy 18 Crash Sends Two People To The Hospital
(Rock Valley)-- A two-vehicle collision Wednesday on Highway 18 three miles east of Rock Valley sent two people to the hospital.
The Sioux County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Riley Hasche of Luverne, Minnesota was driving a 2015 GMC Sierra westbound and had stopped for a vehicle ahead of him that was turning onto a county road. Deputies say 42-year-old Aimee Mueller of Archer was driving a 2014 Ford Focus westbound on Highway 18 and collided with the rear of Hasche's vehicle.
Mueller and a passenger in her vehicle, 75-year-old Marietta Vander Pol of Primghar were taken by ambulance to the Rock Valley hospital with minor injuries.
No damage was reported to the GMC driven by Hasche; about $8,000 in damage was estimated to the Ford driven by Mueller.
Mueller was cited for following too close.
The collision took place a little after 12 Noon.
