Hundreds March Peacefully In Spencer In Support Of Equal Justice

(Spencer)-- Hundreds of people gathered in Spencer Thursday evening for a peaceful demonstration in a march for justice for George Floyd. Reverend Wendy Van Tassell of the First Congregational Church in Spencer was among those involved in the event...Peaceful protest01

Marchers gathered at East Leech Park then proceeded along Grand Avenue to the Spencer Police Department where several speakers made comments. City leaders, including Spencer Mayor Kevin Robinson, were also on hand for the event.

Representatives of various law enforcement agencies along with the Iowa State Patrol were also present to keep the participants safe.
