Harris Special Election Results

(Harris)-- Voters in the city of Harris went to the polls yesterday (Tues.) for a special election to fill vacancies for Mayor and a seat on the city council.

Dean Phillips, who was unopposed for Mayor, received 45 votes. There were four write-ins.

For city council, there was a tie with candidates Carol Biggs and Jeff Loring each receiving 27 votes.

There was no immediate word as to how the tie would be broken.

Nearly 58 percent of the eligible voters in Harris turned out for Tuesday's special election.
