(Okoboji)-Hancher Auditorium at the University of Iowa is presenting a play called Out of Bounds to middle school students across the state.

Hancher Executive Director Chuck Swanson explains.

"We're actually doing a tour through the state, this is for middle school students.  This is a play about cyberbullying.  It's an issue that, it's not even just students, really, it's adults too.  Everybody is bullied often within our society.  So we commissioned this play by Working Group Theatre, the professional theatre company from Iowa City.  Two years ago, we together decided that we really needed to address this issue, especially to middle school students through theatre, through something that these students could experience."

He adds that part of the program involves discussion following the play.

"It's about a 45 minute play, and then afterwards they have a post-performance discussion.  In Iowa City we did it two years ago,  and the response from teachers and from guidance counselors, and we had parents there too, they were really pleased with what the students got out of this."

The tour kicked off at the Pearson Lakes Art Center in Okoboji on Monday, and continues through Northwest Iowa with stops in Algona, Spencer and Storm Lake this week.
