The Pearson Lakes Art Center presents their Growing Iowa's Economy Speaker Series, with tonite's featured speaker Jim Hussong, President of Kozy Heat, and the new Mayor of Arnold's park.
Art Center CEO Tom Tourville:

"This will be our second of our four presentations for 2014 and it's part of our Growing Iowa's Economy Speaker Series, and this one's Growing Iowa's and the Midwest's Economy, Jim Hussong, who is the President and CEO of Kozy Heat Fireplaces up in Lakefield, Minnesota.
It's one of the most successful fireplace companies in the United States.
What's fun about this one, it's the story of a company started by his Dad in a garage to make one fireplace stove for his garage, and it has grown out of the garage in Lakefield to be one of the, as I said, most successful fireplace companies in the U.S."

Tourville notes that the presentation will include a question and answer session:

"We have four presenters a year, and they talk about different aspects of business, or how they got their company to be started, successful and why it's worked and the challenges they've encountered and what has worked and not worked for their companies, and there's a question and answer session.
So, it will be a fascinating discussion and listening session with Jim, as he talks about the history and how they got to where they are today with Kozy Heat, and why it's worked in Lakefield, and why it's worth using Minnesota and Iowa employees.  Jim's presentation should be fascinating."

The Growing Iowa's Economy Speaker Series begins at 7 o'clock this evening at the Pearson Lakes Art Center in Okoboji, and is free and open to the public.
