Ground To Be Broken On Autumn's Center

(Spencer)-- Ground was broken today (Mon.) on the construction of a comprehensive children's behavioral center that will serve northwest Iowa. Autumn's Center is named in honor of Autumn Elgersma of Orange City. The child died of head injuries while under the care of a babysitter.
The facility is being constructed adjacent to the Season's Center building at 120 East 5th Street in Spencer. It's scheduled for completion by this coming September 1st.
Hoodendorn Construction of Canton, South Dakota is the general contractor on the project.
It's the first of what will be a two-phase project. The second phase will connect Season's Center with Autumn's Center. It's scheduled for completion by December 1st, 2016.
