Greenville Woman Injured In Car Vs Bicycle Collision

(Spencer)-- The Clay County Sheriff's Office has released details into a car-bicycle collision that took place August 15th. Authorities say it happened shortly before 6:00 pm that evening in the 2000 mile of County Road B53.
Deputies say 59-year-old Mary Fairchild of Greenville was riding her bicycle eastbound when she was struck by a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Lisa Krieger of Rossie. Fairchild fell off the bike onto the travelled portion of the road.
Initial information provided by authorities didn't say whether or not Fairchild was taken to a hospital. KUOO news has since learned she was indeed taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital where she was hospitalized four days.
$1,500 in damage was estimated to a 2006 Cadillac driven by Krieger.
