Graettinger-Terril, Ruthven-Ayrshire School Boards Offer Shared Supt./Elem. Principal Position To A Terril Graduate
(Ruthven)-- The Graettinger-Terril and Ruthven-Ayrshire School Boards have offered the shared Superintendent/Elementary Principal position to Marshall Lewis. Lewis has verbally accepted the position. His hiring will become official after a formal background check and a contract is approved.
Lewis was one of three finalists interviewed for the position on Monday, February 10th. The interviews were conducted in each district by formal interview teams.
Lewis and his wife Kim are both graduates of Terril High School. They have three children.
Lewis has over seven years of superintendent experience in Iowa and Nebraska, including service with the Belmond-Klemme, Iowa and Kimball, Nebraska school districts. He also has experience as a high school principal, associate principal and as a teacher. He was named District 5 School Administrators of Iowa Principal of the Year in 2006.
Marshall has a Specialist Degree from Iowa State University and holds a Master's in School Administration from Northern State University. He also has a Bachelors Degree in Business Education from Northwestern College.
Lewis will officially begin his duties this coming July 1st and will transition between now and then with current Superintendent Andrew Woiwood.
