Governor Kim Reynolds voices opposition to Vaccine Passports during Wednesday's Press Conference

(Johnston)-Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds held a press conference on Wednesday morning which focused on the status of Covid-19 vaccinations.
The Governor noted that 28 percent of Iowans are fully vaccinated, and that more people are now eligible for vaccines in the state:
The Governor also took the opportunity to express her opposition to vaccine passports. "I strongly oppose vaccine passports and I believe that we must take a stand as a State against them, which I intend to do either through legislation or executive action. I will also continue to do my part to educate and encourage Iowans about the importance of being vaccinated, but as I said, we will take action either through the legislature or with executive action against vaccine passports."
The Governor added that she encourages all Iowans to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
