Gov. Reynolds Announces Availability Of CARES Act Funds To Long Term Care Facilities In Iowa
(Des Moines)-- Governor Kim Reynolds announced today (Thurs.) she is making $14 million in funding available to nursing homes through the state's allocation of CARES Act dollars...
"$14 million in CARES funding will be allocated to Iowa's long term care facilities to assist with the increased costs related to testing and staffing. Like our hospitals, it's important that we also provide assistance to long term care facilities at this time and that every Iowan continues to do their part to protect the most vulnerable of our healthcare workforce."
The Governor also said additional resources are being made available to increase case investigation operations.
The Governor and Dr. Caitlyn Pedati of the Iowa Department of Public Health also again pleaded with Iowans to continue to follow public health measures, especially as head into the holiday season.
