Fugitive Who Led Authorities In Spencer On Pursuit Taken Into Custody
(Spencer)-- A Sioux City man wanted on numerous warrants and for an alleged parole violation was taken into custody this (Thurs.) morning in Spencer.
Spencer police say 25-year-old Justin Albright was arrested around 9:45 am in the 1200 block of West 7th Street. Law enforcement converged on that area after a homeowner at 1113 West 7th Street reported the suspect had fled her garage.
Albright was wanted on a felony parole violation from Sioux City. Bond was set at $20,000.
He was also wanted on two Black Hawk county warrants for possession of prescription drugs and interference with official acts. Bond on those warrants was set at $2,325.
Albright was also charged by Spencer police with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of prescription drugs with intent to deliver, three counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, eluding law enforcement, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, driving while suspended, failure to file SR insurance, trespass, and two counts of failure to obey a stop sign.
The eluding and traffic charges stem from an incident shortly after 2:00 am this (Thurs.) morning when Spencer police attempted to pull over a 2004 Dodge Intrepid Albright was allegedly driving. He refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit. He collided with a parked vehicle in the 1100 block of West 4th Street. Police say a female passenger sustained facial injuries and was taken to Spencer Hospital where she was treated and released. Albright fled the scene. He was later located by a homeowner hiding in a garage at 205 12th Avenue West. He fled that location and remained at large until he was taken into custody around mid-morning.
