Fostoria Man faces Drug Charges following Traffic Stop Sunday

(Spencer)-The Clay County Sheriff's Department says a Fostoria man faces drug charges following a traffic stop on Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say a Clay County Deputy performed a traffic stop on 40 year old Clayton Heinrichs. It was discovered Henrichs had three valid Clay County warrants for his arrest. The warrants were for Violation of Probabation, Contempt of Court and Failing to Appear. Heinrichs was placed under arrest and transported to the Clay County Jail. Heinrichs was also charged with No Insurance, Operating a non-registered Vehicle and Fraudulent use of Registration.

The Clay County Sheriff's K-9 Unit was called to assist, which then led to a search warrant being granted for Heinrichs' vehicle. Upon execution of the search warrant, a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located.

Heinrichs was charged with P.C.S. - Methamphetamine (2nd), an Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. Heinrichs was held to appear before a Magistrate.
