Flooding Results In Closure Of Some Major Highways In The Region
(Undated)-- Flooding has forced the closure of some major highways in the region.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says U.S. Highway 59 in both directions from Highway 9 north to the Minnesota border has been closed.
Also, the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75 at Plymouth County Road C-60 near Hinton has also been closed.
Officials say numerous county roads throughout the region also have water flowing over them in places.
Authorities again remind everyone not to attempt to drive through standing water.
