Flags Being Flown At Half-Staff Today (Sept. 11th) In Honor Of Patriot Day And The Sept. 11th Terrorist Attacks
(Des Moines)-- Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered flags be flown at half-staff until sunrise tomorrow (Sat.) in honor of Patriot Day and in memory of those who lost their lives in the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Flags are being flown at half-staff on the State Capitol Building and on flag displays in the Capitol Complex as well as on all public buildings, grounds and facilities throughout the state.
Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are urged to fly the flag at half-staff for the same length of time as a sign of respect.
