Five People Face Drug Charges After Storm Lake Police Respond To An Apartment Complex

(Storm Lake)-- Drug charges have been filed against five people after Storm Lake police responded to an apartment complex Sunday evening as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers reported smelling marijuana as they approached an apartment. Five people who were in the unit at the time were taken into custody. Police sealed the apartment and obtained a search warrant. Officers found and seized marijuana packaged for street sale, prescription tablets, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials and scales.

22-year-old Britingham Tello of Storm Lake was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, gathering where controlled substances are used, possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tello was booked into jail on a $7,300 bond.

18-year-old Levi Watts of Storm Lake was charged with possession of prescription drugs and gathering where  controlled substances are used. His bond was set at $2,000.

20-year-old Jaime Ibarra of Denison, 21-year-old Shawn Rowell of Storm Lake and 23-year-old Caleb Hinderks of Storm Lake were charged with gathering where controlled substances are used. Bond for each was set at $1,000.
